Kagos

KAGOS is an asset tracking solution integrated on the map.

Benefits & Key Features

KAGOS is modular and customizable, which means its functions can be quickly assembled to meet each company’s specific needs in different asset tracking environments. As a single integration solution, KAGOS supports almost any devices or network protocols in a single display. The increased visualization means KAGOS enables fast response to various risks associated with different assets with its intuitive dashboard that facilitates real-time monitoring.

Technology Solution

KAGOS has an open structure to readily support devices and network protocols in addition to the currently employed. It supports suitable devices and protocols to best track and manage assets, including communication protocols (MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SMTP, Serial, FTP, File, NFC, RFID, Bluetooth, ZigBee, etc) and location information-collecting protocols (NMEA, AIS, INMARSAT-C, ADS-B, ACAS, MLAT, RADAR, etc). Its IoT service platform provides the best database (lossless and fast loading) and processing module for asset tracking and ensures security through AES, DES and SEED encryption; communication channel verification; and database encryption. Its high-performance engine to process large volume of collected data in fast pace supports in-memory caching, asynchronous processing and active worker thread. The KAGOS service layer provides data visualization and varied map layers from location-based data available (weather, timeline, restricted or hazardous zones, daylight, POI, etc), synchronization with legacy data for efficient asset management and tracking, and supports FMS (Fleet Management System) and CMS (Customer Management System).

Customer Validation

"With KAGOS, we can understand our asset more accurately. It provides not only the location of the vessels in the ocean but also advanced alarming system if a vessel approaches to the hazardous zone. Furthermore using the geofences, it is notified when a vessel enters and exits in the specific area. Wherever vessels are, and whatever it is going to occur, we can know and take actions for the safety and customers’ satisfaction." - Kim Sang-Yong, Director, Orbcomm Korea
